“I’m Wondi. An accountant, a daughter, a friend, a music lover, a foodie, an Epileptic Warrior.”
To many my name is Shewondia Dickenson, to some just simply Wondi. I was born and raised in the Rural West Constituency, a place that has played an important role in shaping the woman I am today.
My educational journey began at Sunnyside Tutorial School, before continuing to Christ the King High School and later Antigua State College. I went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, and today I proudly serve as a Junior Accountant at State Insurance Company Limited.
But beyond the degree and the job title, there's so much more to me. I'm a simple young woman at heart who loves every food that comes from the sea, and after a long day, give me a glass of Amaretto Sour and the sweet sound of steel pan music.
Living with epilepsy has been part of my journey, but it has never been the whole story. It has taught me resilience, courage, patience, and the importance of continuing to move forward even when life presents unexpected challenges.
I am a hard worker and a young woman who believes in herself and the power of good leadership. I know that leadership isn't about having all the answers — it's about being willing to listen, learn, work with others, and show up when you are needed.
“So, yes — I’m Shewondia. I’m Wondi. A young woman with dreams and aspirations.”

A vision focused on raising standards, strengthening membership engagement, and turning ideas into meaningful action.
Elevate the Standard
Raise the quality of leadership, professionalism, communication and project execution.
Project to Impact
Project completion should not simply mean achieving an objective. We should understand what changed because of the time, effort and work invested.
Before a project is approved, ask:
- Why / What problem are we addressing?
- Who are we impacting?
- What do we want to change?
- What will we do to create that change?
- What will we measure?
Identify two measurable outcomes.
VP Power Session
Monthly 20–30 minute conversations between the EVP and each VP to ensure VPs have the clarity, resources, support and accountability they need to succeed.
Each VP reflects on:
- Wins
- Projects
- Challenges
- Priorities
- Membership engagement
- Commitments
Professionalism in Action
Meeting deadlines and being on time for submission of reports.
Giving advance notice when commitments cannot be met.
Why I’m
Running.
I believe leadership isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about being willing to listen, learn, work with others, and show up when you are needed.
I want to help create a JCI experience where members feel valued, where their talents are recognized, where projects create measurable impact, and where we follow through on the work we begin.
I believe we can raise our standards while strengthening the connections that make JCI special.
“Everyone brings something to the table.”
